Dr Magnolia Cardona-Morrell is a Senior Research Fellow at the South Western Sydney Clinical School, The University of New South Wales. She leads the end-of-life improvement research program covering all aspects of the journey from early identification of people on the dying trajectory until the aftermath. Her collaborative work on clinical prediction, non-beneficial treatments, decision-making and barriers for appropriate management of the dying patient is internationally recognised. She believes in quality of life and death and works to encourage timely end-of-life conversations in hospitals, general practice, nursing homes and among members of the general public.
